Since I cook very colorful food (lots of veggies!
), I keep my props and styling simple and fresh to really let the food pop.
I like to keep my linens basicneutrals, simple, and naturally textured.
I love these linens fromWorld Market, they’re my go-to.
Here they are next to myChicken Zucchini Noodle Soup.
In photos, it adds a clean, beautiful pop of color without taking over.
Plus, it looks even better with a little wear (which mine definitely has).
And, this bowl is gorgeousI love that it has a unique, handcrafted look and shape.
I used both props last week to style theseTriple Almond Energy Balls.
They have a playful feel that makes it easy to create movement in the photos.
And because they come in a perfect bright white, these mini cocottes go with everything.
This item has very little glare and an earthy texture that lends itself to the light.
They’re a really versatile prop, and very pretty!
I also think they add just a bit of a modern twist to the Mason jar trend.
My style is pretty minimalist and simple, so my props reflect that.
And, I love the modern elegance that gold flatware adds!
I used both when I shot thisSweet and Savory Egg and Oatmeal Combo Bowl.
