(Where’s my medal, though?)

I decided it was time to change, and now I actually enjoy being active.

Here, 16 ways life has changed since I started working out more.

It’s hard to believe, but I wake up in a good mood.

This is revolutionary, because mornings used to be the bane of my night-owl existence.

That’s partly because now, I really prioritize working out.

FYI, pigs are flying past my window right now.

They are the only part of my body that isn’t thrilled with this change in the status quo.

At least I know to start saving up for replacement surgery now?

I also spend a lot of money.

My bank account is probably not pleased with me.

And my phone is basically always dying.

When I’m home, it’s easy to keep my phone fully charged.

Now that I make an effort to be out and about, that’s not the case.

Instead, they’ve gone haywire.

Working out more means I’m often flooded with adrenaline.

And I have to make a concerted effort not to be preachy.

But on the bright side, life is infinitely better because I meet way more dogs.

Beyond that, I have a lot more to talk about.

The incredible sunset I saw behind the Washington Monument on my latest run.

The black bear cub I spotted on a pretty fall hike.

The flowers I got at the farmers' market.

Like, how awesome is this random brick structure I stumbled upon on a recent run?

It had water fountains, so that was convenient.

But also less, because I’m way behind on TV shows.

Is Stassi back onVanderpump Rules?

Did yet another one of my favorite characters bite the dust onThe Walking Dead?

Which made-up modeling buzzword did Tyra debut onAmerica’s Next Top Model?

And in more awesome news, I’ve embraced my natural hair.

It’s impossible to preserve a blowout and get a good workout in.

I had to figure out which one I cared about more, and being active won out.

It doesn’t hurt thatnatural curlshappen to be cute AF.

But one major drawback is that my computer hates me.

I’m also dreading winter for a whole new reason.

Plus, I had to break up with alcohol.

Well, kind of.

Maybe my bank account doesn’t hate me as much as I thought.

I even have to get new makeup to go along with my new lifestyle.

Mymakeupgame is decidedly not strong enough.

Which brand makes eye products that basically require a pressure hose to remove?

But it’s all worth it.

I have to admit, though, taking pictures on top of mountains is pretty fun.
