I was 19 when I got it.
Growing up, I moved a lot.
I never really knew where my home was, but I yearned for a place to call my own.

On Friday the 13th this year, I decided to engrave my best pal on my left shoulder.
He is looking up at me like he always doesready for anything.

Now, I feel like my chest piece was a small sign of what was to come.
Unfortunately, a few weeks later, things took a turn.
I found out I was having an ectopic pregnancy, and I would be losing my little one.
Both of these tattoos will always have a huge spot in my heart.
Seeing them every day gives me hope for the future and a reason to smile.
