Since its Day 1, well review some of the basics to keep in mind throughout this month.
For one, you dont need anyequipment.
Youve also got choices when it comes to intensity.
Each option below increases the amount of time youre working, and decreases your rest period.
And keep in mind: You dont have to stick with the same option throughout the whole month.

The bodyweight strength workout below is for Day 1 of theSELF Better Together Challenge.

If you havent signed up to receive daily emails, do thathere.
Do each move below for your selected period of time.
At the end of each circuit, rest for 60 seconds.
Do the entire circuit 35 times.
Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart and core engaged.
Return to starting position by squeezing your glutes to stand.
Tuck your tailbone and engage your core, butt, and quads.
This is the starting position.
Your head should now be between your shoulders.
This is your Dolphin Pose.
Pause for a second and then slowly lower back into a forearm plank.
Continue to move from plank to Dolphin.
Place your hands behind your head, elbows bent and pointing out to the sides.
Use your abs to raise your shoulders off the floor.
Twist to bring your right elbow to your left knee, while simultaneously straightening your right leg.
Then twist to bring your left elbow to your right knee, simultaneously straightening your left leg.
Extend your legs behind you, feet hip-width apart.
Tuck your tailbone and engage your core, butt, and quads.
Resist the urge to simply collapse your chest to the floor.
Work to bring knees to the floor with control, then lift them again.
