Extend it back out straight and do the same with left leg to complete 1 rep. Do 10 reps.

The standard push-ups work the chest, shoulders, and triceps, explains Zorn.

But adding a knee tap in between each rep forces you to engage your core morespecifically your obliques.

Tuck Jump

Stand with your feet hip-width apart.

Jumping is one of the hardest thing we ask our bodies to do, says Zorn.

Explosive movements like this one work your fast-twitch muscle fibers which will increase your strength and quickness.

I love this exercise because it really cranks up your heart rate.

And it doesnt require any equipment.

Extend your legs long, creating a straight line with your body from head to heels.

Then, repeat the hold one more time.

In my opinion this is the best abs exercise because it engages the entire core, says Zorn.

Step left leg back and bend your knees to lower into a lunge.

Rotate back to center and then push through the heel of your right foot to return to standing.

The added medicine ball twist forces you to activate your core and incorporates balance, too.
