Her diagnosis: She’d been stung by a poisonous brown recluse spider.

Then, within a few hours, the pain can increase and become severe.

Linsey went to urgent care immediately, bringing the spider with her.
And the spot where the spider bit herunder her eyestarted to turn into a serious wound.

There’s no antidote for a brown recluse spider bitejust treatment for any symptoms and the wound.
She shared photos on Instagram to show the extent of her woundand it’s pretty shocking.
“What happens is the venom basically kills the tissue,” Thundiyil says.
“We call it necrosis.
After three sessions, she started to see results,Peoplereports.
The dead tissue on her face started to come off and new skin developed.
Now, more than two months since the incident, Linsey’s wound is healing well.
Her scar is almost unnoticeable with a few layers of makeup.
By sharing her story, she hopes more people will learn about brown recluse spiders.
“I think that people appreciate it when youre real,” Linsey toldPeople.
“Im like, What am I going to do?
Be hiding this thing that Im going through?'
And honestly, its nice to raise awareness.
Its not talked about a lot and I have a way to get the word out.
