“I love exercises that are not so sport-driven.

Usually the track first, then the weight room for lifts, free weights andcorework.

It fits in with the person that’s on-the-go.

Allyson suggests: “Go to a local track and sprint the straightaways and walk the curves.

It’s a great[interval] cardio workoutthat can accomplish the same thing as longer jogs.

In the weight room I love to focus on the core, especially exercises with the medicine ball.

And take a stab at be active every day.

So many times people focus on just the hard work and you forget to enjoy it.

A lot of times for me, it’s [working out] an escape.

Enjoy the whole workout process; almost like a therapy time to work out whatever you have going on.

What’s your plan for the Summer 2012 Olympics?It’s my main goal!

I’m feeling confident but I’ve been on a journey, lots and ups and downs.

It’s exciting to get the opportunity once again to perform on theOlympicstage.

My training is more intense.
