kids – she’s still in supermodel shape.

SELFy Stars: How have health and fitness played a role in your career?

Crawford: When I first started out, I never worked out or worried about what I ate.

I still had that teenage thing where I thought I could eat anything, and I could!

I got involved with atrainernamed Radu, who opened my eyes and turned me onto fitness.

When you are exercising, it just goes hand in hand with making better choices about what you eat.

What’s yourworkoutroutine like now?

It’s changed over the years, but right now I work out at home.

I have a power plate, which I really like to use.

I live in Malibu, so I like to go hiking once a week or so.

And I always love going for a bike ride with the kids and my husband.

What do you struggle with most, fitness-wise?

Staying motivated is hard, which is why I need to mix things up.

I work out to stay the same.

But I love having a fit body – I can do stuff, I can help move furniture around.

How have your food and fitness habits changed since having kids?

After I had kids, I realized my workouts have to energize me.

I can’t leave feeling depleted – they have to give me more energy.

So the mental approach is different.

Every year, I also eat better and better, and I learn more.

Like I remember when I switched to brown rice.

I am a really goodbaker, which is unfortunate!

I make pies and carrot cakes.

But mostly cooking at home is about grilling – we grill fish or chicken, just simple things.

Do you have any tricks for when you’re craving something you know you shouldn’t have?

Sometimes I crave pasta: a penne arrabiata, yum!

I also check that my kids don’t feel like I’m eating a totally different meal from them.

What’s the simplest change you’ve made in your fitness habits that has made the biggest difference?

Not to sound canned, but drinking a lot of water!

What’s your best fitness advice?I always tell people, just dosomething.

Walk up the stairs, walk your dog.

You don’t have to go to a kickboxing class.

People are like, ‘How do you find the time to work out?’

You don’t: You make time.

If you wait until you find a free chunk, you’ll never work out.

Plus, you could do a totally decent workout in a hotel room with no equipment in 20 minutes.
