Welcome to your first day with a Tabata burnout.

If youre unfamiliar with what a Tabata workout is, youre in for a treat!

Tabata, and other similar protocols of training, are sometimes calledhigh-intensity interval training(HIIT).

Trainers love this punch in of training because it maximizes time (theyre short!)

and theyre effective (youll build cardiovascular endurance and get stronger).

But theres a catch: In order for them to work, you really have to push yourself.

Inchworm to Shoulder tap

A Tabata is only four minutes long, but you gotta be breathless by the end.

Dont forget todo a warm-upand drink some water before you get started!

The Workout

Heres a detailed breakdown of the moves youll do.

Alternating Knee Taps

Directions: Do each exercise for 45 seconds, resting 15 seconds between exercises.

At the end of each round, rest 60-90 seconds.

Do the entire circuit 2-5 times, then do the Tabata Burnout.

Triceps Dips

Do each move below for 20 seconds, resting 10 seconds between moves.

Do the circuit back-to-back for a total of 4 minutes.
