What wouldThe Good Placebe without Janet?

Frankly, its a question we dont want to know the answer toand were glad well never have to.
ThoughThe Good Placejust finished airing its fourth and final season, Carden is only just beginning.
Next up on her roster?
While her days can vary as she prepares for her new show, Carden always makes sleep a priority.
There’s nothing heroic about sleeping four hours, Carden says.
You’re a better person when you get to sleep eight hours.
I would like to stand on a soapbox and yell that.
Read more on what its like to sleep with Carden (and Jason, and Penny) below.
Usually Jason says he’s tired first.
I have a yard.
Can you even imagine?
I lived in New York for 10 years.
The idea of even having a foot-by-foot space outdoors is unreal.
I venture to go to bed around 10 or 11.
I go to bed at 10, and I get eight hours for sure.
On major toothbrushing
I overbrush my teeth.
That’s not something I’m proud of.
Like, I brush until my gums bleed.
I don’t use an electric toothbrush, but I think I should.
They kind of buzz my nose and make it itchy.
So yeahmajor, major toothbrushing happens.
We useColgate Advanced Whitening toothpaste, and we’ve been using it for, like, 10 years.
Then I wash my face.
For some reason face wash is almost a whatever I have thing.
I’m not too picky about it.
Right now I’m using a lot of Joanna Vargas products.
I have hervitamin C face wash, and I love it.
She’s also got two serums that I love.
One is called therejuvenating serumand then one is thesupernova serum.
So now I go back and forth.
She also has aneye creamthat’s greatIm constantly looking for an eye cream that doesn’t sting my eyes.
I love to shower at night.
On her favorite bedtime playlist
Penny has a bed under our bed.
It’s like this incredible little perfect cave.
[Jason and I] both havewhite noise machineson either side of our bed.
We use the same white noise machines that, when I was a nanny, the baby used.
I think it has three prefs: white noise, rain, or ocean.
I was like, if it worked for her, it’s going to work for me.
It’s calledThe Dylan Amsterdam Hotel playlist.
It’s perfectI don’t even know why it works.
But the second the first song starts I’m like, Okay, good night.
I never haveI don’t thinkin my entire life.
If we’re really deep into a show or something, maybe we’ll bring the laptop in.
When I’m in a hotel, [having a TV] is like a real pleasure.
Im like, Woo!
Fall asleep watching TV!
Sometimes I like to scroll myself to sleep.
Have you ever done that?
Where you’re, like, fingers on your phone and you drop it on your face?
I’m probably looking at Instagram or Twitter.
Sometimes it suckslike, socially, you want to hang out.
But it feels very adult to make sleep a priority.
Everyone’s looking at you.
Sleep is such a big part of that.
On why almond milk just wont cut it
I love coffee; I live for coffee.
It’s very routine.
There’s something about that routine that really centers me and starts my day.
My sister was staying with us a couple of weeks ago, but she is an almond milk person.
You gotta do what makes you feel good.
