Mine is totally manageable.
It does, as would any person’s, get out of control.
But you have to make choices about how you allot your time.

Oprah has as much time as I do, so what’s different there?
It’s about making sure you know what’s important to you, and then prioritizing it accordingly.
Everyone wants to get more sleep.
For me, exercising is key.
I release a lot of stress that way and it keeps me positive and energized.
I give a shot to prioritize that as much as I can.

Some days, as for anyone, it’s impossible.
The timing won’t work.
I venture to eat as healthfully as I can, but I have a huge weakness for sweets.
That is the ongoing problem.
You are not alone in that.
I’m not alone, it turns out!

I’ve been running ever since middle school.
In terms of clearing your head and restarting everything, I love running.
And I started doing SoulCycle.
It’s absolutely cult-y.
In the very best way.
And they have the SoulCycle gear, and the apparel…
They know what they’re doing.
But I think they work because the classes are really good.
The music’s great, it’s dark.
You feel transported and I feel completely refreshed when I come out.
I started doing it about a year ago, I guess.
And I also like that there’s a team aspect to it.
It helps keep me motivated.

Something we’re really focused on at SELF is mindfulness.
But everyone is so stressed nowadays.
For me, I do achieve that through running or Spinning.
My brain seems to settle when I’m doing some sort of exercise.
For me that’s what it is.
That would be my go-to in terms of resetting everything.
So you say you’re not a busy person, and I totally don’t believe you.
Well, that’s tough.
I feel like when you are responsible for children, everything is different.
So I can’t speak for a woman with children.
I could just wake up an hour earlier to do something.
Probably a lot of women feel a sense of guilt if they don’t work out.
That is dangerous.”
Like, don’t you need a nap?
I feel like that would be better for you at this point!
It’s like you’ve had a full night’s sleep.
So sometimes in-between scenes or something we find time for 15 minutes of just a cat nap.
I think that can be really refreshing.
Both men and women.
Those projects are full of beautiful people, but not fantasy people.
Which I think is important.
Kimmyfirst and foremost is a show about a woman overcoming the odds.
I think that’s really powerful.
Because she is this really resilient, tough woman who doesn’t back down.
Don’t be tricked by her cotton candy pants, she’s actually a very tough woman.
Everyone knows exactly who you are, which must be awesome but also kind of crazy.
I’d love to hear about that.
The weekend afterKimmystarted streaming on Netflix I did notice a definite difference in people on the street recognizing you.
I think that’s such a strange thing to happen.
And it’s not like I’m Julia Roberts.
I don’t understand how someone like her can go anywhere.
You haven’t done anything to change the world, you’re not the best person there is."
Because I think sometimes people mix up recognition with thinking that they’re great people.
And at a very every day level, it’s so weird to me.
I don’t usually wear makeup when I’m out and about.
That’s so funny.
Which is not common.
I don’t know where you go when you want to be alone, if everything is out there.
