The end of our vacation was full of celebration for Mike’s brother.
On Friday we were up early to get ready for the ceremony.
We ate a quick breakfast in the hotel room then headed off to the Navy base.
We dressed in our best for the big day!
We had a light snack at the hotel restaurant (hummus and fruit) before heading to the party.
We were served authentic handmade carne asada and chicken tacos that night.
The corn tortillas were being made to order - so tasty!
It was a great day from start to finish and we were so proud of Kevin!
Saturday we had a nice big breakfast at the hotel.
I got an omelet with ham, tomato, onion, spinach and cheese.
I also had a nice big bowl of fruit.
We spent our afternoon at Balboa Park and the Spanish Art Village.
Our last dinner was up at the family’s house.
We grilled some chicken thigh kabobs and ate them with couscous, asparagus and salad.
We caught another firework show which made Will very happy!
It’s past 1AM but I am wide awake.
I hope I am not dragging tomorrow!
The trip was great and I am glad to be home.
