The Trick:Apply the lipstick with your ring finger.
“It’s the perfect width to coat lips,” says Yoshimoto Bua.
“Concentrating color in the middle creates the illusion of fuller lips,” she explains.
“And working it in with your finger helps the pigment sink in.”
Matte lipsticks can feel drying, so choose one with hydrating ingredients like vitamin E or sweet almond oil.
