Fresh Honeydew Margaritas
Tiring of syrupy frozen margs?
Cookie and Kate’s Kate Taylor turns to fresh honeydew juice to add a hint of sweetness toher cocktail.
A word of caution: Avoid overfilling your blender, and working in batches when blending this fleshy fruit.
Because of its consistency, it’s best served straight-up, with tequila, Cointreau and lime juice.
As for when to drink it?
“It does tend to be a bit filling from all of the fruit that’s in it.”
But hey, that makes it a healthy cocktail right?
Fresh Clementine Margarita
The Cookie Rookie’s Becky Hardin likes her margaritas strongwith fruit flavor.
“Basically nothing but fresh juice will do.”
“Because the recipe uses just the beet juice, the flavor comes through without any odd texture.”
Mix beet juice, rosemary simple syrup, tequila and orange liquer and serve.
Roasted Blueberry Basil Margarita
Call this aSuperfood sipper.
That’s thanks to a blueberry basil simple syrup.
Then combine in a shaker with tequila, lime juice and Grand Marnier before pouring over ice.
Like the carrot margarita, you could whip up your own juice, or go store-bought.
Serve over ice with a spash of tonic.
