I’ve shared before thatGeneral Hospitalhas been a daily habit for me since sixth grade.
SELFy Stars: Julie, are you having fun with your current storyline, your romance with Dante?
With this one, they’ve really slowed it down so you just really get to watch the courtship.
SS: How wasJames Francobeing on the show?
Did Lulu interact with him at all?
Oh, yeah, he had her in the thing.
SS: He seemed a little overwhelmed at first.
It was fun, a unique experience.
It was a matter of really trying to define her age through her clothing.
Before this, they were trying to make me look younger.
This is so much more my age.
I feel much more comfortable in this key in of clothing.
I love an excuse to wear a hot dress.
I am literally in dresses every single day of the show and I love it.
SS: Who are some of your favorites?
JB: I love Chloe dresses.
I love Marc Jacobs.
Oh my gosh…I am trying to think of what they put me in that I like.
A lot of times I kind of like finding eclectic pieces and putting them together.
Elizabeth and James has a lot of original looking pieces.
SS: They give you great hair on the show!
What’s the secret?
JB: Velcro rollers!
Honestly, it is the best.
A lot of the women on the show their hair is done that way as well.
SSL Daytime actors work harder than any others and you still have to look amazing.
How do you fit in workouts and eating well?
But if I have a long day I might do free weights or yoga videos in my dressing room.
I like to do races, like 10Ks and marathons.
But if I have a love scene or something, I’m running all the time!
First thing in the morning, I’m a little bit sluggish.
SS: That is a good strategy.
What do you do besides running?
JB: I have a room in my place specifically for weights.
Resistance bands really work well for my body pop in.
I have a go at change it up, too.
I’ve looked into some kick boxing classes and I go for bike rides, like I said.
I like having different things so it doesn’t get too routine.
SS: When you do hand weights, what weight do you usually use?
JB: You know, it depends.
SS: Do you feel a lot of pressure to look a certain way on the show?
JB: I feel the pressure just from being on television to be honest.
It stands out in your mind.
Even without that, when you look and feel your best you are happier and more confident.
That keeps me healthy.
SS: Is everyone on the show supportive of each other?
Do you work out together?
JB:Oh, definitely.
We are totally supportive and it’s comfortable.
It’s your job.
It’s your job to be healthy and be aware of your body because that is your tool.
SS: Who is your go-to person if you oughta ask someone’s advice or get some support?
JB: Laura Wright, who plays Carly Corinthos.
She is my go-to person.
we talk all the time.
I learned a lot about nutrition from her and nutritionists that she has seen.
She constantly comes in and borrows my DVD player to watchJillian [Michaels]workout videos in her room.
SS: We love Jillian.
Tell me about your eating habits?
JB: Honestly, it’s everything in moderation for me.
When it feels like my body has been punished for week then I just completely fall off course.
SS: Do you cook for yourself at home?
For you and your husband?
JB: Oh, yeah, absolutely.
I cook a lot.
Then you really appreciate what you are eating because you put all of this work into it.
So, my husband and I cook a lot.
