What sets Girlfriend Collective apart?
The brand is also transparent in its production.
This particular collection uses fabric made with 86% recycled plastic bottles (RPET) and 14% spandex.
Below, read our editors honest thoughts of the collection, tested in various colors and silhouettes.
Im 5'4" and 150 pounds and comfortably wore a medium in both.
I also wish the jacket was longer, as I dont like highlighting my stomach.
Now, for the jacket: I tried the Stretch Woven Play Windbreaker ($102) in ivory.
I was surprised by how much I liked it, considering Im not really a track-jacket kind of gal.
I usually wear sweatshirts and jackets in size medium, and this fit true to size.
I went to the movies in this set, and it felt like I was wearingpajamas.
The material is breathable and light, which will be perfect for the upcoming warmer months.
There are a few downsides, however.
The pants ($88) are too long on my 5'4" frame.
If I pull them up to be higher-waisted, I get the dreaded front wedgie.
But if I leave the pants around my hips, I trip over the wide-leg bottoms.
I also did not like how cropped the track jacket ($98) was.
I prefer a jacket thats comfortable but doesnt show my entire stomach.
At first, they seemed luxurious and worth the high-end athleisure price.
The windbreaker ($98) is a bit of a mystery to me.
The cropped length is awkward, and it has a slouchy, structureless fit.
Its become my go-to for running errands, walking my dog, or working from home.
