Why the heck not?
First, I channeled my inner Disney princess with body glitter.
I felt like kicking things off with a bang, so I tackled body glitter first.
How to conquer the trend for daytime without looking like I was headed to a music festival.
So, I decided to paint on a glitter necklace.
I was pleasantly surprised with the final result!
People seemed genuinely curious about the glitter trend and wanted to know how I created the look.
The most common question: How does all that glitter stay on?
Primer, my pretties, primer.
I also tried a celebrity favorite: glitter lips.
The color also fades throughout the day, so I probably should have added a base lip color underneath.
That being said, Ill definitely rock the look again for special events because it got lots of compliments!
Glitter eyeliner put an extra twinkle in my eyes.
I have a love-hate relationship with sparkly makeup.
But when you work with glitter, you find the remnants for days in the most random crevices.
To add extra sparkle, I put a layer of dry shadow on top, too.
It felt like just the right amount of sparkle without a massive cleanup afterwards.
I gave a glitter part a try despite the mess.
So, I did my research before attempting the look.
Supposedly mixing glitter with hair gel or oil makes it easier to paint on and wash off.
But that didnt work so well for me.
It took time to get the right look, but when I was done, I was impressed.
My hair shone in the light, and the glitter looked so cool.
Then came the interesting partwashing all that sparkle out.
Next I coated my hair in coconut oil and shampooed twice.
Trying something new for a day was fun.
Last but not least, I highlighted my eyes with glitter eyeshadow.
For the final day of the experiment, I tried a glittery eyeshadow look.
I used Too Faced Glitter Glue Glitter Shadow Primer again.
I used the Galaxy shade this time around, and man did my eyes sparkle like the stars.
I felt super glam that day.
And the removal process wasnt as bad as I thought.
Of all the trends, Ill definitely attempt body glitter again.
