X: Some of our favorite characters have disappeared.

We would also like to formally request the return of Vanessa, if only for her boho chic accessories.

And why did Eric have to be one of the only Manhattanites to choose a college outside the borough?

Speaking of Lily’s offspring, what about her love child with Rufus?

Why isn’t Scott mentioned anymore?

XOXO: Some of the new additions are awesome.

XOXO: There’s so much great history behind all of their trysts.

X: Almost every episode includes a lavish party.

Each week seems to follow the same opulent pattern: 1.

The characters discuss the party.

They attend the party.

XOXO: Almost every episode includes a lavish party!

Look at all those gorgeous gowns!

Oooo, and Serena’s hair is so shiny!

An episode without a party would be like Chuck without a pocket square: incomplete.

It’s pure eye candy, and when it’s this glamorous, we aren’t complaining.

Dan accidentally became a best-selling author over the course of a few episodes.

It’s enough to make us grab our picket signs and Occupy GG.

XOXO: Their educational and professional lives provide new opportunities for intrigue.

Serena seducing a professor?

Predictable, but delicious.

X: The characters can be inconsistent.

Remember when Blair was a catty, conniving queen, instead of a pious princess?

Meanwhile, former enemies have started collaborating on new schemes.

There have even been times in the fifth season when Chuck (gasp!)

has seemed like the most morally upstanding guy in Manhattan.

XOXO: The characters have evolved.

Along the way, they’ve had to reevaluate their relationships with their friends and families.

As long as the scandals keep coming, so will we.
