Which, of course, is ABSURD!
To prove it to you, heres what I ate a few weekends back.
Nothing hidden, everything true.

I love the taste with just milk (cows milk, that is).
My breakfasts alternate betweenyogurtand granola and a bowl of oatmeal with butter and brown sugar.
If my husband or I buy fresh bagels that morning (Montreal style FTW!

), Ill have one of those, sometimes just with butter.
The granola in this photo is byNuthouse, which is a tiny brand from Berkeley, California.
My favorite flavor is the fennel orange.

I always keep fresh herbs in my fridge to spark the flavor of basically anything savory.
However, the muffins were made with almond flour, so that was a bit of protein right there.
The cheese contributed some more.

Handful of flavored almonds
Im obsessed with salt and vinegar almonds or just raw almonds.
We always have them in the house, and theyre the perfect snack.
Grilled pork chop with broccoli
Even though I love plants, Im solidly an omnivore.

I did the broccoli on the grill too, after I tossed it with olive oil and salt.
Toasted Ezekiel bread with butter
Ezekiel is my favorite brand of bread, for good reason.
Its rough and seedy, with no added sugar.

I will only bring butter into the house, no margarine.
I get a lot of heat for it, but margarine grosses me out.
I feel like its just too processed for my taste.

Scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, and fruit
It’s Mother’s Day.
Honestly, I don’t like Mother’s Dayit’s so contrived.
Every day should be Mother’s Day!

But anyway, I slept in, yay!
Thats literally all I wanted.
Sometimes youve just got to eat what you get, and thats OK.

It was special to have my kids make me something, and it was delicious!
I was full from my late brunch, so I didnt end up having lunch.
I made Greek-style chicken, hummus, Greek salad, and a few desserts.
The hummus was so incredibly amazing that I ate a TON of it while I was actually making it.
I mean, I felt sick by the time dinner rolled around.
One meal isnt going to make or break anything about your health.
I am not one to turn down dessert, especially at my own celebration.
I was about to burst, and being that uncomfortable reminded me why I dont overeat more often.
One thing you didnt see is alcohol.
I drink very rarely, because it makes me feel sick.
I choose my indulgences wisely, too.
Id far rather have dessert than cocktails.
I cook most of my familys meals, and I go out about twice a month.
That includes lunches, dinners, and takeout.
Yeah, Im spoiled.
