But when she went to college, the now 27-year-old began struggling with body insecurity and disordered eating.

After years of struggling with anorexia and binge eating disorder, Eledge is happier and healthier than ever.

She credits this to the support of her amazing fiance and the strength she’s gained from CrossFit.

When she entered into a new relationship during her sophomore year, things started to spiral out of control.

“I gradually became more and more strict with my diet,” she says.

“It became an obsession of eating less and less and running more and more.”

After sophomore year, Eledge’s parents intervened and she was formally diagnosed with anorexia nervosa in 2009.

“Healthy meant fat to me.

Even though I no longer looked sickly, my mind was still being controlled by food.”

“I still struggled, but it was getting better.

“It makes me happy to say that I cant even remember the last time I binged.

Eating properly has allowed for so much progress in the gym.

When your body is fueled correctly, it has so much more potential to do great things!

Now I truly go off intuitive eating.”

She also says that working out is a pleasure for her now, rather than a punishment.

“I love the way CrossFit makes me feel and the confidence it gives me.

I am no longer terrified of ‘bad’ foods and the idea of gaining a few pounds.”

Eledge hopes that her story will help inspire other people who struggle with disordered eating.

“I am so happy and thankful that these problems are now a distant memory,” she says.
