But I did, and Im a better (read: healthier) person for it.

Since fat is less dense than muscle, density is helpful in predicting body fat.

Until I got my results.

Not exactly the glowing bill of health that Id anticipated.

Cristello explained to me thata persons weightdoes not necessarily dictate their body compositionnor their health.

Its called normal weight obesity or skinny fat, and the health repercussions are similar to obesity.

Even more concerning is that my lean weight came in at 81 pounds.

According to Cristello, 90 pounds or more of lean mass puts an average-sized woman in the normal-to-healthy range.

This got me sweating in the not-so-good way.

And thats the good news.

Great news, in fact.

The only thing standing in my way is my aversion to strength training.

I always associated the word with fast-pacedburpees, heavy weights piled on a dumbbell, andcrazy HIIT workouts.

In a word: misery.

That got me to listen.

This, I could do.

In fact, I am.

My three-times weekly strength training leaves me feeling stronger, and has actually improved my running pace.

That and mynon-negotiable wine.
