But for me, I was stuck on the snail slime.

Snail slime can be a very effective sealant on the hair, she explains.

The proteins can help strengthen strands while the texture helps seal the cuticle and locks moisture in place.

And Wilson adds, its not just a beneficial treatment for the strands themselvesit moisturizes the scalp, too.

So maybe it’s not a total gimmick.

And Kims hairstylist isn’t the first person to sing snail slimes praises, either.

Snail secretion has also emerged as a Korean skincare favorite because of it’s moisturizing capabilities.

Starting with damp hair, I applied the creme from mid-length to ends.

Continuing with her hairstylists tutorial, I layered on oil to lock in moisture.

But after watching a few YouTube tutorials, I got the hang of it.

Finally, I added a couple more dollops of oil to smooth out the frizz.

This was some pretty potent stuff.

And I’ll definitely use a little less the next time I’m using it for a straight style.

Underneath my sink, I have a mini-graveyard of reject hair products that were only used once.

However, I wouldnt exactly say the snail slime is a miracle beauty cure.
