While her training routine is intense, she sticks with it formore than just the body benefits.

“I feelwaybetter when Imworking out.

For Hough, the morning isthetime to get it done.

“It sets the tone for the day for the rest of the day,” she says.

“But I wouldnotsay that Im amorning person, though.

It takes everything that I have to get out of bed.”

She typically gets #UpNOut with a homemade juice.

Its mainly because he wants it, I just reap the benefits,” she laughs.

And after her workout, she reaches for a tastyprotein shake.

In between the yummy pre- andpost-workout snacks, though, Hough workshard.

Here’s how she got her fitness on last week.

“Im a high-energy person, so I really like those high-energy, sweat-it-out workouts,” says Hough.

And to kick off the week, aBody By Simonetrampoline class was the way to go.

“Because I’m high-energy,yogakind of just grounds me.

It makes me feel more centered and balanced.

And I like hot yoga because it really stretches me out,” she says.

Hough’s in good company atSoulCycle, tooLea Michele is also a major fan.

Even when Hough isn’t doing an actual workout, she likes to keep moving.

“My favorite thing to do is, like, littlefive-minute bursts.

If I cant work out, Ill just find somewhere to do five minutes of something.

It’s just about being active.”

“On Saturday, I went to the beach and did a beach workout,” says Hough.

Laich doesCrossFit, so she joined in on a workout with him.

“I was like, ‘alright, Ill go try it,’ and it wassohard.

Working out on the sand is hard, but its also so great.”

Welldeserved after that week of training.

Having a balanced routine, like Hough’s, is key for seeing progress and preventing boredom.

“Even if I werent a dancer, I would lovedance cardio,” says Hough.

It’s so fun.

And with dance cardio, I feel like youre using muscles in your body that are hard to reach.

I feel like its the perfect balance of everything."
