Perry made an appearance in Philadelphia to sing two of her hit songs and to endorse Clinton for president.

Perry has been promoting the campaign for months now with some eccentric-yet-patrioticoutfit choicesand stellarnail art designs.

She’s helped fundraise for the former secretary of state as well.

So, it seemed natural that Perry would make the short list for DNC performers.

She took the stage to sing her girl-power anthems “Rise” and “Roar.”

And she also talked about her personal connection with the democratic candidate.

“I have a couple of saved messages on my phone from HRC,” she said.

“And I have a closet full of Hillary-themed dresses.”

Perry’s HRC wardrobe is not limited to gowns.

She’s converted chaps and tees into political paraphernalia, too.

She wore a striped, column dress from the Michael Kors Collection that glittered in the convention lights.

Of course, she also added a subtle dash of stars and stripes with a vintage Bulgari necklace.

Like mostDNC speakers, Perry spoke about the importance of voting this November.

“Both of my parents are pastors and staunch Republicans.

I didn’t finish high school.

And unfortunately, I don’t have any formal education.

But I do have an open mind, and I have a voice,” she said.

Remember it’s not where you come from, it’s who you grow into."

It was a powerful statement to make before the crowd started jamming to her motivational music.
