Drizzle a 9x13-inch baking dish with the oil and arrange the fish side by side in the pan.

Coat a frying pan with 1/4 cup oil and place over medium heat.

When the oil is hot, add the shallot and thyme.

Cook and stir for 3 minutes, or until the shallot is translucent and fragrant.

Season with salt and pepper.

Pour in the wine and cook for 1 minute, or until the liquid is almost totally evaporated.

Stir in the tomatoes and capers.

Simmer, uncovered, stirring often, for 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.

Pour the sauce over the salmon.

Squeeze in the lemon juice and sprinkle in the zest.

Scatter the garlic and parsley over the top.

Season with 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper.

Toss the potatoes to coat and spread them in an even layer.

Roast for one hour, turning once or twice, until crispy and golden but fork-tender on the inside.

I’m having flashbacks toHell’s Kitchenas Gordon announces that he will lead the kitchen.

Team captains Tracy and Suzy delegate each team member’s role.

Tracy, why would you prepare the risotto when Jennifer won the last challenge with her perfect risotto?

Poor Ben, he looks like a deer in headlights.

Even Gordon said, “Ben looks lost.”

crosses my mind as every order is called out.

Customers become restless as they wait for their food.

Dishes are being sent back because of overcooked meat, undercooked risotto and hair in the food. What?

Out of all the contestants, it was Adrien’s hair that lands on someone’s plate.

Service ends and Gordon announces that the teams' results will be announced in the MasterChef kitchen.

Relief washes over the red team when Gordon announces their win.

Sharone had a difficult time breaking down the salmon for our wedding challenge.

Good luck, and I’m glad I don’t have to do that!

I think Ben is thinking the same thing.

Tracy’s salmon’s carcass looked like a cat chewed on it, got tired and left the tail.

As a result of her poor knife skills, she was sent home.

Ground meat is the next hurdle the contestants face in the mystery box challenge.

No one looks happy with the main ingredient–especially Christian.

Jen manages to showcase ground meat in an elegant way with her grown-up meatloaf.

Adrien’s three-way meatball is a little on the salty side for Joe’s taste.

Ben’s skills shone with his version of shepherd’s pie.

What chef will it be?

What chef’s dishes will Ben have to replicate?

Gordon’s…yikes!

The pressure is on to impress Chef Ramsay.

Ben plays to his strength and chooses the venison tenderloin.

Suzy’s replication of Gordon’s dish is perfection.

Christian’s dish leaves the judges unsatisified.

Ben’s advantage seemed to only hurt him.

His overthought dish ended in overcooked venison.

Adrien immediately apologizes for his food before the judges even taste it.

But one has to go home…No, not Ben!

He will be immensely missed on MasterChef.
