Inwheelchair curling, precision is critical.

Oyuna Uranchimeg

She jumped at the chance.

Uranchimeg decided that life would be in the U.S.specifically in Minnesota.

Thats when I learned to be more active because the program was so fun, she says.

Realizing she had a talent in the sport, she felt determined to improve her skills.

That led to training a few times weekly, and then joining a couple adaptive curling teams in Minnesota.

In 2018, she wasnamed to the national curling teamand competed in her first international event in April 2021.

And as the 2022 Paralympics kick off Friday, March 4, Uranchimeg will be ready.

Before I thought about being part of the Paralympics, my sleep was all over the place.

That led to messy weekends, when my sleep schedule would be terrible.

That makes it tougher to get quality sleep.

But with training came a regular routine and practice on weekend mornings.

So I needed to be strict about my bedtime.

That means most days, I go to bed about 9:30 p.m., sometimes before.

For recovery I love massage therapy and cupping.

But for the times between those appointments, I use a neck and shoulder shiatsu massager calledEAshuhe.

My son got it for me for Christmas and it seems to work surprisingly well.

You just drape it over your shoulder area to get heat, and it has eight different massage controls.

I just move it around across my shoulders and neck while Im relaxing in the evening.

That makes a nice, relaxing kickoff to my bedtime routine.

I have some chamomile tea about an hour before bed.

At first I bought them just to support her, but theyre actually pretty good.

And keeping my skin care fairly basic makes it easier to do every night.

Most nights I listen to sleep stories because they help me fall asleep faster.

I used to listen to music oraudiobooks before sleeping, but they didnt really work too well.

With music, it needs to be just the right kind to be relaxing.

Then I discovered sleepcasts, which I listen to on theHeadspace app.

You just listen to soothing voices.

My favorite sleepcast is called Cat Marina, about houseboats that all have cats living on them.

Sometimes I prefer to listen to a guided meditation throughAudible.

Lately Ive been sleep tracking with an app.
