I would say the best thing for the wardrobe is a dress.
It can really go day to night, country to city, casual to fancy.
How can your style motivate you to live healthier?
The great thing about clothing is that it’s self-perpetuating.
You’ll go to the gym and you’ll look even better.
Clothing can really be powerful and enhance other behaviors.
What is your perfect breakfast to energize you for a busy day?
I always eat a big bowl of oatmeal and I’ll put either honey or chocolate chips in it.
And then I have my coffee and I will treat myself to something sweet, too.
What is your healthiest habit?
I exercise five days a week!
What’s your biggest indulgence?
I eat so much junk food it’s disgusting!
It’s so bad.
I justify that with eating well.
And self-criticism … even when I do something well, I always think I failed at it.
My measuring stick for myself is incredibly harsh.
Describe your perfect night out with friends.
Do you have a favorite fitness class?
I actually go to mixed martial arts.
It’s a cross-training workout and it’s really, really hard, but I love it.
I have a total addiction!
Do you have any motivation tips for the gym?
My clinical research was on increasing exercising adherence.
One of the biggest things I found was that distractions are going to be very important when exercising.
It could mean going for a walk and talking with your friend or watchingThe Bachelorand getting on the stair-climber.
Another thing is variety.
The third factor is you have to like what you’re doing.
If you hate swimming … don’t swim!
Do something that you love, like dancing or hiking.
