), we caught up with Jensen to learn more about nurse practitioners and how she stayshealthy and happy.

So you keep others healthy, but what do you have in your fridge that keeps you healthy?

I have fresh fruit and ingredients for my favorite meal: filet mignon and a garden salad with lemon.

No dressing for me!

If you feel like you are gaining weight, what do you do to stay on track?

I limit portion sizes, drink more water and cut down on carbonated beverages.

What’s your go-to breakfast?

Green tea latte from Starbucks – it hits the spot when you’re in a hurry!

Blueberries and raw almonds.

Being an NP, we imagine you’re pretty healthy most of the time.

If you have to eat fast food, what do you get?

One of my favorites is the fruit and walnut salad from McDonald’s.

What about your favorite indulgence?

Fresh peach pie with “real” whipping cream on top.

What’s your normal exercise routine?

I venture to run at least 3 miles, 3 times a week.

What’s your biggest fitness challenge?

Finding time in the day to exercise.

What cause or charity are you most passionate about?

I have been an active member of the Junior League since 2000.

It’s a charitable organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism and developing the potential of women.

The majority of medical services are provided free of charge.

What can’t you put down?

My BlackBerry, I am addicted!

Do you have a favorite app?

“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”

What’s the best happiness advice you’ve ever gotten?

Don’t worry about what other people think, always be yourself.
