How I Tested
As a self-proclaimed tech lover, I was excited to test Samsungs new earbuds.
Design and Features
Lets get down to the basics.
My first impression was that they were very light, and I loved the matte exterior.

This is nice because it makes cleaning the interior easier.
Still, I would recommend starting with the Earbud fit test to verify your earbuds are fitting properly.
Then you’re free to customize your earbud and audio options on the Galaxy Wearable app.
For instance, the Equalizer adjusts bass, treble, and more.
Afterward, go into the touch control configs for play and calls.
When you press and hold, you might switch from active noise cancellation to ambient noise.
I found the audio to be great because it really enveloped the sound in my ear.
What really stood out, though, was the ANC, or active noise canceling.
Its really hard to get great active noise canceling with earbuds compared to over-ear headphones.
The Buds 2 Pro also support 24-bit audio Hi-Fi sound compared to the 16-bit audio from the Buds Pro.
(Important side note: the 24-bit audio is only available with a Samsung phone.)
This was by far my favorite feature of the Samsung earbuds.
Its a smart functionality that I actually found very useful.
Head tracking adjusts the volume of the sound depending on how you move your head.
I was really excited to test out this listening experience feature, but it really didnt impress me.
So the battery is pretty solid.
As for how to charge them?
It didnt completely deplete my phone battery and your phone will automatically stop charging around 30%.
Luckily, many earbuds provide different size ear tips in its packaging.
That being said, the Buds 2 Pro are the most comfortable earbuds Ive ever owned.
Connectivity
As someone who owns a few earbuds, pairing and connectivity is very important for me.
However, the connectivity with my other devices was not quite as seamless.
The Buds 2 Pro are more manual, and I just wish they werent so exclusive to Samsung users.
Plus during my work Zoom meetings, the connection would sometimes get lost.
If there was a pairing button on the case, it would make connectivity a little bit easier.
In general they do a good job of not slipping off.
Should You Buy It?
Theyre more advanced than the Pixel Buds Pro and they feel better in my ear than the AirPods Pro.
It comes with great ANC quality, and smart earbud features like Intelligent Conversation Mode and Voice Detect.
They also just fit and feel great.
But if youre already in the Samsung ecosystem, these earbuds would make an excellent addition.
