Try this fun surf-inspired workout.
**You’ll Need: A medicine ball between 6-12lbs.
and a stretch of the gym or your family room that you could take 12 big steps out.
Step forward with leg that was raised and extend other leg back behind you.
Repeat 12 times then turn around and repeat back to your starting point.

***Safety- do not stand up only using your lower back.
It will also strengthen your movement to push off the board to stand up.
Engage your core then slowly push yourself off the ground keeping your elbows narrow toward your side.
Keep your shoulders pulled back thinking about drawling your shoulder blades together and down towards your lower back.
It will also help with shoulder and leg strength needed for surfing.
Start with 5 in each direction.
You will start with the walking touchdowns.
When you return to the starting point perform 10 pop-ups in each direction.
