Heres what we realized when we talked recently with former Grand SlamtennischampionAna Ivanovic: Retired is a relative term.

For most of us it means taking pottery classes in Boca Raton.

Well, compared to the three-and-a-half hours a day she used totrainwhile competing, its certainly a lighter load.

Thats a lot of exercise.

Even if your perfect week of working out doesnt compare to her lazy lifestyle (sarcasm!

), theres some serious food inspiration in here for you.

So when Ivanovic officially retired, she began to focus on distance running a bit more.

My favorite isavocado and toastwith poached eggs, and a side of smoked salmon or spinach, Ivanovic says.

Plus, spinachis also full of vitamin K, which aids in blood clotting and keeps bones strong.

You wont ever catch her putting berries andother sweetsin her smoothieIts not my morning thing.

The flax seedsincrease the fiberand protein in the smoothie, helping her stay fuller for longer.

Its an easy way to feel like youve cooked, but still make lunch in a quick minute.

Now that shes not training, her workout routine has changed, and so has her diet.

Vega and Quest are two of her favorite bars, especially the savory flavors.

Also, I enjoy juices and smoothies.

I always google where is the closest juice or smoothie place.'

Her go-to juice order includesgrapefruit, lemon, and ginger.

Its another antioxidant-rich choice.

I really love fish, so Ill mix between that and meat, but I have to have protein.

I cant survive without it, she says.

Salmon and tuna are easy to grill, or shell do up some chicken.

While she loves steak, she leaves the cooking of that to the pros.

Shell pair her protein with nutrient rich vegetables likesweet potatoes, and then a salad on the side.

Her favorite salad addition is burrata, that cream-filled fresh mozzarella that just screams summer when paired withtomatoes.

Her favorites include chocolate cheese cake, carrot cake, or banana bread.

Shes not afraid to make her own version of the same treats, too.

The base is made out of buckwheat and dates with some coconut oil.

It [feels] like Bisquick.

I keep it in the freezer and it can stay forever, plus its really yummy.
