What’s your all-time favorite piece of workout equipment?
“I absolutely love a sled orprowler.
You get a total-body workout in a short period of time, simultaneously working on strength and cardio.
You’re a big proponent of lifting heavy.
And how might a strength-training newbie take a first step in that direction?
“Lifting heavier weights is good for your body, heart, and soul.
It’s incredibly empowering, but it’s also the most efficient way to transform your body.
“For newbies, I recommend mastering basic movements with your body weight.
The trick is to always be able to perform the full rep range with good form.”
What workout song to you have on constant repeat right now?
Right now I’m obsessed with the Tiesto remix of ‘Somebody that I Used to Know.'”

You recently moved to Santa Monica from New York City, so, real-talk: Which coast is fitter?
It’s almost always gorgeous out, which makes it a lot easier to stay in shape.
It’s a fit culture.
The east coast never struck me as a particularly fit place, NYC excluded, of course.
NYC is one of the fittest places I’ve ever spent time in.
Everyone walks regularly and every gym I ever attended was booming.
But, in this case–I’d say Cali takes the prize."
