But this season’s seeming endless callbacks have been the show’s saving grace.

Back in season 5, Ellaria Sand poisoned Cersei’s daughter Myrcella.
Naturally, she used the same poison to kill Tyene that Ellaria used to murder Myrcella.

All the while contemplating the choices youve made.
So if those words sounded familiar, it’s because you’d heard them before.

This is something Dany says toJonduring their ongoing “bend the knee” conversation.
Mance ultimately refused to kneel, so Stannis, well, burned him to death.
Good thing Jon has chosen to kneel instead of facing some other fiery fate.
TBH, we’re all a bit fed up with Bran and his creepy Three-Eyed-Raven ways.

Chaos is a ladder.
Many who give a shot to climb it fail and never get to have another go.
The fall breaks them.
And some are given a chance to climb, but they refuse.
They cling to the realm or the gods or love.
Only the ladder is real.
The climb is all there is.
Both times, the guards laugh at her and refuse to believe she is who she says she is.
Little do they know that she’s secretly an assassin now.
