Planks are my go-to, she says to SELF.
Planks are a great go-to exercise if youre short on time.
But, as Gadot mentioned, doing the same thing over and over againcanget boring.
Yep, even the beloved plank.
Place your palms flat on the floor, hands shoulder-width apart, your shoulders stacked directly above your wrists.
Extend your legs behind you and rest your toes on the floor.
Your body should form one straight line from your shoulders to your heels.
double-check you are not dropping your hips or hiking your butt up high toward the ceiling.
The rest of the positioning stays the same.
Jump your feet out and in (like jumping jacks).
Lie on your right side with your right hand directly underneath your right shoulder.
Extend your left hand straight up toward the ceiling.
Hold here for a set amount of time.
Place your feet hip-width apart.
Lower your left arm so that your forearm is on the floor.
Then do the same with your right.
You should now be in forearm plank position.
