What has your training routine been like leading up to the Spartan Race?

Yesterday I learned how to throw a spear!

Im using muscles that Ive never used before.

Training for an obstacle course is different than a regular workout.

What have you been doing?

Yesterday I had to do push-ups on my fingertips.

Which Ive never done before!

But that was to strengthen my grip strength, which I was just so impressed by.

All these different, smart ways of making my upper body stronger.

I have really strong legs, but working on my upper-body strength has been the real focus.

What makes you guys a good team?

Shell do anything and try anything, and shes not afraid of anything.

So I think thatll be really fun, too.

Seems like Texas really is forever.

So do you guys get to stick together on the course then?

Were all on the same team.

Zach already texted me the other dayI was intimidated about something, and he was so supportive.

And hes already ran a race, he ran a race last weekend!

Hes been working really hard, so I think he might be carrying us all through this thing.

Im just excited to see the way we all come together and support each other and get through it!

Im excited to see how strong I feel at the end of it.

Im excited to see if I have the endurance to get through it.

I mean, its eight to 10 miles, and the longest Ive run is about six miles.

Luckily we stop between running to do the obstacles.

But Im excited to get muddy and dirty and see how strong I can be!
