But still, it takes hard work to get Rio ready, and Douglas determined to make it happen.
so that prepare for the 2016 Olympics, Douglas has been logging major training time at the gym.

The early bird gets the wormerr, the gold medal.
Douglas wakes up at 7 a.m. to get a head start on her day.
Oh, and she’s not messing around.
“Building endurance is key right now,” DouglastoldCosmopolitan.
“The only breaks I take are for water.”
Two-a-days are kind of a given.
After taking a little break from her first training sesh (she’s gotta eat, people!
), it’s back to the gym for round two.
She only trains for two hours this time around, but she makes the most of it.
“I’m extremely focused right now and see to it every training counts,” Douglas said.
“I’m definitely looking forward to getting out there to compete for Team USA.”
She keeps her meals low-key and her eyes on the prize.
to make it keep her focus on her training, Douglas' grandmother makes her meals for her.
“I [need] the carbs after two strenuous workouts,” Douglas said.
Rest days?
Everyone needs a day offeven Olympic athletes.
Douglas takes off one day every week to give her body a chance to recover.
There’s always room for something sweet.
Like any sane person, Douglas understands the importance of a something calleddessert.

Don’t sweat it if you’re fitness and food regimen doesn’t resemble Douglas'.
