There were days when I thought, Could I do this?
But for the most part, I thought, Nothis is what I want to do.
Though OHara has long considered herself a runner, this will be herfirst marathon.
Running continued to be an outlet for OHara as her career in show business took off.
When I was in my 20s, I would run Central Park all the time, or Riverside Park.
That was always my form of exercise and relaxation.
But it was more like six milesit was never 26.2.
Theres a nostalgic element to the marathon for OHara too.
This past year, however, the timing finally felt right.
I really do feel good about it.
I know its going to be hard.
Below, OHara tells SELF about the running favorites shell be using on race day.
I wear theRincon model.
Ive enjoyed them so much.
Ive been usingNeutrogena face sunscreen, 110 SPF, but I just use it everywhere.
Im very fair, and when youre spending hours training under the sun, you really need it.
