The search for America’s nextMasterChefhas begun!

The judges will taste 100 contestants' signature dishes.

Chef Ramsay is quite intimidating!

Jenny has one of those memorable personalities with her bubbly bold persona.

Personally, I was impressed as she described how she put layers of flavor into her dish.

I am all about seasoning each component of my dishes.

What does it take to be a MasterChef?

Gordon would say Jenny’s determination.

Will determination be enough to make her the next MasterChef?

I was intrigued to see a fellow Mississippian on this season of MasterChef.

Alligator might not be on any of Joe’s restaurant’s menus, but he liked it.

Three yes votes from all the judges, and Albert is on to the next round.

Will the judges have the last laugh or Albert?

I will be watching to find out.

Standards are set high!

This coming from Gordon means a lot because he is one hard chef to impress.

Tracy’s dish could have tasted good except for one mistake.

Tracy, why pour white truffle oil over youregg?

Judge Joe Bastianich said that white truffle oil isn’t even made with truffles!

The judges must have seen something in her though because she left with her apron.

All I can say is WHY?

Pauline, I love her Scottish accent!

Now I needed an explanation for this dish.

What in the world is haggis?

Joe found out haggis isn’t for the faint of heart.

Something obviously can be said about saving the best for last because Christian proved to be a tough contender.

You know when Joe makes a good comment about your food, then it must be good.

Joe is not quick to give compliments.

He remarked that Christian’s dish was amazing, and it won this competition.

“Christian could win MasterChef” were the shocking words from Gordon’s mouth.

Round two and another night full of next MasterChef hopefuls.

What does it take to be the next Masterchef?

Know who you are cooking for!

Dustin didn’t make his English style sausage rolls to impress Graham.

No, he was playing up to Gordon.

He did put his own Italian twist to the sausage rolls, and Gordon loved it.

Gordon didn’t have to tell Dustin because his actions said it all.

He ate the whole dish, ha ha!

Other contestants didn’t have the same kind of reaction from Gordon.

Being able to take criticism and learn from it is key.

I was a little worried when one of the outraged contestants stormed out of his audition.

Having your cooking speak for itself wasn’t what got Esther her apron.

Being a lawyer came in handy; she knew how to plead for a chance to advance on.

I was thinking the same thing.

Joe said her dish wasn’t restaurant quality, but to my shock, he gave her an apron.

I think the judges were left puzzled as well.

Gordon wanted to see his passion on the plate.

My advice to the next contestants is to cook from the heart and be true to your cooking style.
